Welcome at the Welfenlab

The In­sti­tute for Man-Ma­chine Com­mu­ni­ca­tion De­part­ment of Com­puter Graph­ics (also called Welfen­lab) op­er­ates both basic and ap­plied re­search in the fields of dif­fer­en­tial geom­e­try, phys­i­cal sim­u­la­tion and med­ical vi­su­al­iza­tion.

Cur­rent re­search top­ics in­clude:

• tac­tile dis­plays for vir­tual re­al­ity ap­pli­ca­tions
• med­ical data pro­cess­ing and vi­su­al­iza­tion with YaDiV
• Mul­tiS­cal­e­Hu­man

In ad­di­tion to the var­i­ous re­search areas, we also offer many op­por­tu­ni­ties for stu­dents in the form of Bach­e­lor and Mas­ter the­ses, sem­i­nars and lec­tures and labs.

Our rooms are in the mid­dle of the Wel­fen­schlos­ses - the main build­ing of the Leib­niz Uni­ver­sität Han­nover. Come to visit us!
